Cavalier Connection Podcast Predictions: Copycats, Rants, and Bold Claims
The Cavalier Connection crew is officially on record with their UVA football predictions for 2025—and things got entertaining fast. Jack and Jay turned into “prediction twins” with matching 9–3 forecasts, while Jeff went 8–4 but stole the spotlight with an epic Hokie-bashing rant. From bold Commonwealth Cup guarantees to shared optimism about a season-opening win over Coastal Carolina, the whiteboard was packed with confidence and rivalry heat. Now the only question is whether these predictions will look brilliant—or be podcast fuel for roasting—by December.

Three hosts, three sets of UVA football predictions for 2025. Some overlap, some fireworks, and plenty of Hokie-bashing confidence.
The Cavalier Connection crew finally went on record with their season predictions, and while the whiteboard was filled with optimism, the paths to those final records took some entertaining twists.
Jack and Jay: The Copy-Paste Twins
Jay led the way with a confident 9–3 forecast, pointing to road trips at Louisville, North Carolina, and Duke as the stumbling blocks. Then came Jack… with the exact same record, and the exact same losses.
Whether it was great minds thinking alike or just a case of copying the homework, Jack and Jay are now forever tied together as prediction twins.
Jeff’s 8–4 and a Legendary Rant
Jeff zagged with a slightly more cautious 8–4 prediction, but the record wasn’t what stole the show—it was his epic rant about Virginia Tech. Let’s just say Hokie fans wouldn’t want to be within earshot. If UVA plays half as fired up as Jeff was in that segment, the Commonwealth Cup is coming back to Charlottesville.
Jay’s Bold Hokie Forecasts
Not satisfied with simply picking a win, Jay stacked up three bold predictions for the rivalry game:
Scott Stadium will be sold out.
UVA will be favored.
The Hoos will win by at least a touchdown.
Bold? Absolutely. Unrealistic? Time will tell. But if all three hit, Jay might demand a banner in Scott Stadium.
Agreement on Coastal
At least one thing united the panel: a comfortable opening win over Coastal Carolina. The only suspense left for that game will be how quickly fans settle into midseason form on the Corner.
The Final Tally
Jay: 9–3 (losses at Louisville, UNC, Duke)
Jack: 9–3 (carbon copy of Jay)
Jeff: 8–4 (but with the loudest “we’re beating Tech” in podcast history, and a loss at Cal)
The picks are in, the season is nearly here, and Cavalier Connection listeners now have all the ammo they need to revisit these predictions in December—either to crown us as geniuses or roast us for months.
